Our Community

Centurion has been part of the Central Queensland community for more than 20 years and we believe it’s our responsibility to support the community that supports us.

Supporting the CQ community

Centurion is proud to support the communities where our people live and work. We support CQ Rescue to ensure world-class aeromedical services and search and rescue support where every second counts are available across Central and North Queensland.  Our approach to community investment focuses on actively collaborating with charitable organisations to understand the unique challenges, tailor our support and involve our people in directly helping these organisations.

Ellensfield Road returned to locals

Centurion Mine re-opened Ellensfield Road to light vehicles, restoring an important link between Glenden, Moranbah and surrounding communities. The 20 kilometre stretch now provides safer, faster access for families, travellers and local businesses following road upgrades and improvements. The private road provides an important connection between the Suttor Development Road and Red Hill Road, reducing travel times for north and southbound travelers.

Our Careers

At Centurion, our employees have the opportunity to work at a world-class operation, be challenged, live safety and team up with the best.

Travel by road to site is about an hour from the Moranbah airport and two hours from Mackay Airport. Centurion will provide a company-provided bus service from either airport and there are multiple Drive-In Drive-Out (DIDO) options. A 20-minute drive from site is Centurion Accommodation Village (pictured), a contemporary, roomy camp with a tennis court, swimming pool and gymnasium.
